Webtron,

Have you tried out that script yet? Looks like it doesn't matter if the controller cannot be reached, it will still work. I'm going to try and set it up, but this link you found sounds perfect.

This is awesome, nice link. Leaves one last question that was unresolved in the old forum:

Where do I edit the default simultaneous logins for the paypal transacted accounts (I'd like to take them down to one now, and I'm sure others would like to also)

Edit: Can someone tell me where the raddb folder is, if that is the relevant folder? If not, what is?

To change the paypal sim-logins go to inc-gateway/inc-function.

on about line 219, look for
Simultaneous-Use

it is set to 2, change it there

I think the freeradius config directory is /etc/freeradius

I've been looking at this a bit today and you can simulate the client getting stuck online by rebooting the router they're connected to but even with simultaneous connections set to one I can keep doing it over and over. I went as far as five stale logins in one account without a problem. I connected other devices so the laptop got a different ip from chilli but I could still log in. It's not until you try connecting with a different mac address that it fails to login. Can any of you guys having this issue check your users details and see if they're using more than one mac address. Anyway I can definitely confirm changing the acctstoptime in the radacct table in the radius database from 00000's to the current time logs the stale user out and the account works again. Thats basically what that script I posted the link to does. Now we just have to make it work. :lol:

I get this error extracted from the URL of the user that cannot log in.

Your%20maximum%20never%20usage%20time%20has%20been%20reached

The user has plenty of time left and bandwidth left.

If I change the field: Max-All-Session in the radcheck table. From 300 to 3000 the user can log back in. But I am not sure what this Max-All-Sesssion is used for... any ideas.

This is from the same MAC address client.

test13User-Password:=test13
test13Simultaneous-Use:=2
test13Max-All-Session:=300
test13Expiration:=1248758369

Maybe its a timezone issue?? as if I convert that time its: 28/07/2009 5:19 AM when the real time is 28/07/2009 5:19 PM

I can't get any MAC info outta my mini-spot, but all the subscribers on my system are having the same issue and only one of them that I've talked to had 2 machines and neither of them could log on.

Just wondering... How do any of you operate functional hot spots using wifigator with this issue in play? My system is only 2 months old and only has about 20 subscribers but they are all frustrated enough that they are starting to ask about refunds and the site owner is ready to stop paying the wifigator subscription.

Thanks Carlo, thats a great explanation.
Tell me, deleting the data from radacct, if you have user accounts for bandwidth usage e.g. 200MB. Does this delete the usage data for this? Where is the usage data stored for the 200MB account?

Which field is maxallsession calculated from. i.e the start date and time field, what table is this in?
