Mmm, I thought it didnt look right. And I have users complain that there account expires. I check it out and radius is saying they have used heaps of data - I think this might have something todo with it...

Any body got any other ideas on why and how to fix this?

Carlo I'm in the Aussie timezone and I'm not getting this problem. Besides if you look at what Lorens fix does I can't see how it could cause this. The fix checks all the open accounts by adding the session time to the start time and comparing the result with the current time. If its 5 or more minutes older it writes the result of the session time plus the start time to the stop time. These errors are all showing 000's in the stop time.

Unless you changed the servers unix timezone setting while users are logged in and the current unix time is now before the start time but even that would create a different result I would think.

Why do you have 2 use2r with same name changed by initial chr, one capitalized and one not capitalized?

DE commonly generate user with uncapitalized letter ant not "o" to avoid confuzion with "zero"

Why you don't uses prefix there is a lookup table nasid <> users?

I think that do you have too many problems with your DE than other users, have you done many changes from original version?

Ciao Carlo

In my list indeed i see a user with a capital, however there is no user there with a capital that was created by me, nor did the manager of that hotspot make one.. The systems just seems to display it like that..
(i do not see a o in any of the usernames ??)

And i do not have that many problems with my DE as well nor did i make many changes to the 3.4 version i am running now?
Had only two minor problems, the editing of the hotspot does not work and the stale users problem that more people are having..

I did not change any time settings during the entire thing as well..

In anycase, most of the users seem to be oke now, that all of the account time was the same was a 1 time cause.

Now i get this:
58jfdm 2009-08-01 11:43:59 0000-00-00 00:00:00 60 Minutes 1.02 MB 9.75 MB 00-13-02-17-41-FF 192.168.182.2

58jfdm 2009-07-31 04:25:20 2009-07-30 18:58:21 27 Minutes 1.05 MB 10.81 MB 00-13-02-17-41-FF 192.168.182.2
58jfdm 2009-07-30 21:29:01 2009-07-30 18:58:21 80 Minutes 5.06 MB 40.68 MB 00-13-02-17-41-FF 192.168.182.2
58jfdm 2009-07-30 15:29:24 2009-07-30 18:58:21 209 Minutes 1.60 MB 17.34 MB 00-13-02-17-41-FF 192.168.182.3

So it seems that all account ware set to a last stopping time/date and after it has the corrected dates. Only the 0000 confuses me there.

Greetings
Steven

Not sure if this was mentioned before but a stop time of 0's means a user is logged in, the stop time should only get set when they log off or time out etc...

You will only see 0's for people currently online (or the 5 minute window for stale sessions).

Lol Thanks Loren, i think i am just lucky enough to catch them everythime in that 5 minutes. I also got bit messed up by the timezone difference, thinkiny they should all be off line already.
(totally forgot to change the base time on the 3.4 while i did it strait up at the 3.3.6 that i ran, i thought i did but when i just checked its on UTC and some hours behind)

Just checked the same user now and it has a time in there.
Looks to be all working fine, no stale users anymore, just a few online and indeed they are the only ones with 000 left in there.

ps tzselect can help someone with setting the correct timezone in the server
pps So i do not get confused anymore by working in different timezones i have made the following change to the Online.php file:

<?php } // Show if recordset empty ?>
<?php if ($totalRows_Recordset1 > 0) { // Show if recordset not empty
?>
<div align="center">
<h2>Monitor Users Online&nbsp;</h2>
<?php

$date = date('l dS \of F Y h:i:s A');

echo "$date";

?>

</div>
<div align="left"></div>

Thanks Webtron, i used tzselect to do the same
Anyways, the server is in another timezone then where i am working from, that created the confusion ;)
Yesterday i just set the proxmox container to that timezone so no more confusion ( i hope ;P )

First, my disclaimer :-) ... I am not inferring this fix created this problem, but I have noticed it since implementing it. It could have been other tweaks. Has anyone who preformed the following seen anything like this?

Quote:
Here is the fix for it...

* Login to your server with putty as root user and copy and paste the following commands into the command line..

wget http://auth1.ilovemywimax.com/update/delrecords.txt -O /var/www/admin/delrecords.php

wget http://auth1.ilovemywimax.com/update/radiusd.conf -O /etc/freeradius/radiusd.conf

You must reboot the server for this to fully take effect...

My 1 Hour plan does not timeout after 1 hour. Multi Use is set to No. I logged on and off (by typing Exit in the address bar) several times and surfed for almost 2 hours. It seemed to have doubled the time. It did Expire after 2 hours with Seconds Remaining.
I have only tested the 1 Hour plan.

I'm concerned it will double my Day and Week Plans too???

I will have to keep a close eye on my setup then, but so far it looks ok. I only sell 2 hour and 2 day plans and no multi use. I would think the expired unix time thing Chuck setup would still expire the user at exactly 1 hour after the person logged in or whatever you have setup. Maybe this is not working with this fix? Thanks for the heads up as I have 8 people that bought 2 day time on the 31st. I guess I'll find out what happens today.

Thanks Aaron...

I did go in a delete that 1 Hour Plan and created a new 1 Hour Plan to see if it makes a difference. I placed an order for the 1 Hour and will know in a few minutes if the new plan expires in an hour.

Hope that was not too confusing and you followed :-)

No it's perfect. Now I'm sitting here looking at one user that had a first login on 2009-07-31 12:37:27. It's now the 2 and 12:53 my time so I'm trying to remember what time this is showing me. I think it's GMT which means in about 2 hours that account should expired.

Gotta love the Montly recurring Paypal plans, especially when someone buys it, leaves it running, and never uses the service. Just saying :)

Ahhhh... check this out.

After recreating the 1 hour plan, the new 1 Hour Plan expired in an hour!!!
Image

I'm going to delete my Day and Week Plans and recreate them :-)

Full disclosure: I did do the "System Time" mod on my server that may have caused this to happen.

Maybe with other member info we can nail it down.
